The hype towards the debut of the NAPA Speedway, part of the 2024 VAILO Adelaide 500, is building up nicely.
And it’ll be hard to find anyone more excited than James McFadden, the man regarded as Australia’s best Sprintcar racer. McFadden has spent the past few years representing Australia on American speedway ovals, and once-a-year, he heads back down under to compete in the big shows.
This year, McFadden’s first confirmed race will be at the NAPA Speedway, and it is something that he is very much looking forward to. “I can’t think of a better place to do it – especially on the streets of Adelaide,” said McFadden. “It’s a great city for sport and motorsport. To be a part of the Adelaide 500 is huge and it’s one of the biggest motorsport events in the world.
“For us to showcase what we do on a stage as big as this is going to be fantastic.“I grew up going to Speedway City in Adelaide, and I’m excited to come back to the town. I know how great the fans are, and I’m really excited that NAPA has supported this event.”
The 2024 VAILO Adelaide 500 will be held on November 14-17, with the NAPA Speedway lighting up the evenings of the 14th and 15th.
