World of Outlaws hero Brad Sweet set to return to Australia with NAPA Auto Parts

NAPA Auto Parts has confirmed it will continue to support Brad Sweet as he returns to Australian shores for a unique Sprintcar campaign in 2023/24.

On the back of Sweet’s fifth-consecutive World of Outlaws championship success, ‘The Big Cat’ will drive for Landrigan Motorsport in five West Australian shows across the Sprintcar summer at the Perth Motorplex and Bunbury Speedway.

It is the second-straight year that Sweet has come to Australia to race, having competed with Landrigan Motorsport in Victoria last summer.

“I’m excited to go down under for some fun in the sun!” said Sweet. “I’ve never raced in Perth but I have always wanted to see West Australia and race at Perth Motorplex. It’s extra special to team up with the Landrigan and NAPA Auto Parts to make it all happen again. I look forward to meeting many new fans!”

The deal for the Jamie Landrigan-run team means that NAPA Auto Parts will have representation on both the east and west coast this summer, with NAPA acting as the major supporter of James McFadden’s Hodges Motorsport entry that will take on the big shows in Victoria and South Australia.

“We are excited to be able to team up with NAPA Auto Parts and Brad Sweet for a West Coast swing competing in the USA vs WA Speedweek,” said Landrigan. “We look forward to showcasing the NAPA #49 at Perth Motorplex and Bunbury Speedway for the first time.”

It has been another incredible season for Kasey Kahne Racing driver Sweet, claiming his fifth WoO crown and adding another 10 race wins to his career tally of 90.

All five titles have come with NAPA Auto Parts as his entry’s major sponsor. His fifth-straight title means he is just one off equaling the all-time record of American great Steve Kinser who won six-straight between 1983 and 1988.

Sweet’s first race of the Australian summer will be the Sprintcar Muster at the Perth Motorplex on December 28.
