It is known as ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,’ and this Sunday, the 105th running of the world-famous Indianapolis 500 will take place at the Indianapolis Motorsport Speedway in Indiana, USA.

Thirty-three drivers racing for 200 laps held over 500 miles, with all of them fighting for the traditional bottle of cold milk (and a huge trophy!) that is presented to the winner of the race.

NAPA Auto Parts will be represented in the 2021 edition of the Indy 500 by Alexander Rossi. The #27 Andretti Autosport driver will start from the inside of the fourth row after qualifying in 10th place.

Rossi, a former Formula 1 driver and winner of the Indianapolis 500 in the NAPA Auto Parts entry, is one of the stars of IndyCar, having finished second (2018) and third (2019) in the competitive USA-based series.

The Californian’s Indy 500 record is also strong, including a remarkable win on debut in 2016, plus a top 10 result in all bar one of his starts in the classic race.

At the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this Sunday, expect Rossi to feature at the front of the field, although he’ll have a hungry pack of 32 rivals around him all wanting to claim the big prize3

You can watch Rossi and his compatriots go at it live on TV in Australia and New Zealand. Australian viewers can watch the telecast on Fox Sports 506 from 1am to 6am AEST on Monday (May 31), while New Zealand viewers can watch on frp, 3am to 8am NZT on Sky Sport.

All at NAPA Auto Parts Australia and New Zealand wish Alexander the very best for the race, and regardless of the early wake up, we’ll be cheering him on from our couches!
