NAPA Auto Parts, the world’s largest name in automotive aftermarket parts, has made its way to the Mornington Peninsula to support trade and industrial automotive specialists.

Conveniently located in Mornington, the new branch is a prime location for any specialist working on the Peninsula, from Frankston and Hastings to Flinders and Sorrento.

NAPA Auto Parts Regional Manager, Gary Downs, is no stranger to the region, having spent years overseeing sales with R&E Auto Parts to many of the local automotive specialists and mechanics. “There’s a huge opportunity for us to show locals what we can do for their business, from reliable brands to knowledgeable teams and a high level of customer service”, he said.

“As R&E Auto Parts is coming together with Ashdown-Ingram to become NAPA Auto Parts, I’m excited to be able apply a local business approach to customers but with the backing, expertise and support of a large international business.”

The new location is over 1,000 square metres, and houses in excess of $1 million in stock for use on the Peninsula. The range of stock available is vast and deep, with many of the world’s leading brands, trusted by Australian mechanics and specialists.

The concept behind the range is simple – have the correct quality stock on hand so that NAPA’s customers know that they can complete the job at hand. This means NAPA Auto Parts Mornington will have everything you need for braking, electrical, engine cooling, air conditioning, driveline, 4×4 fit outs and logbook servicing, while also providing the tools and workshop equipment to perform the task.

Branch Manager, Brad Atkinson, says the right stock is key to ensure customers are supported. “Filling almost 1000 square metres with racking and smarter storage means the brands and depth of range our auto electrical, thermal and mechanical specialists want is right where they need it”, said Mr Atkinson.

“We’re not a retail store, we are a business opening to support the local automotive specialists and mechanics, so we’ve got minimal space out front so we can fit more products in the warehouse”, he said. As with Mr Downs, Mr Atkinson has a long history with the Peninsula, having managed Ashdown-Ingram Sandown for the past 14 years and living locally. With this experience, and the experience of his five team members, the trade-focused team has the Know How for any project.

NAPA Know How is a driving principle of the business, ensuring value through technology such as their industry leading online catalogue, NAPA PROLink, the right range and industry and product application knowledge. “We carry a lot of stock, but we’ve made sure it’s the right parts that are required here”, said Mr Atkinson. “This means we’ve got a wider range of European parts compared to other locations as well as brakes and components from RDA Brakes”, he said.

There are now three NAPA Auto Parts servicing Victoria – Mornington, Traralgon and Heidelberg West – with more planned to open in the coming year. As the 26th NAPA Auto Parts location nationally, the brand is continuing to grow and leverage over 90 years of aftermarket parts history.

NAPA Auto Parts Mornington is now open at 8 Elite Way, Mornington, and you can contact Brad and the team on 5978 2300. For more information about NAPA Auto Parts, visit www.napaparts.com.au.
