NAPA Auto Parts now in Wollongong and Hobart

As we launch into a new month, we’ve opened two new NAPA Auto Parts locations – Wollongong, NSW and Hobart, TAS – sticking true to the old saying, go big or go home!

Both locations were previously Ashdown-Ingram sites, but with more stock, a wider customer base and more capability to support automotive specialists as NAPA Auto Parts, we needed to expand both locations to ensure the best possible home for our world renowned service and product range.

As a result, NAPA Auto Parts Wollongong has doubled in size, taking over the neighboring building to accommodate their needs. This additional space and potential for new opportunities has made the local team very excited to don the blue and gold.

Branch Manager, Tim Martin, mentioned “In the leading weeks to the store opening, my team adapted to the constant changes to their day to day schedule and remained focused on the task to ensure we were ready to open our doors as NAPA Auto Parts this morning. Not only did we rebuild our entire branch and double in size, but also managed to continue servicing our customers to our best ability.”

This customer centricity is testament to the dedication of our teams, who were prepared for change, have learned new skills and ensured their customers weren’t affected with the change over. As with all NAPA Auto Parts locations, whilst the branch and brand may be different, we still have the same people you know and trust working behind the counter.

While Wollongong was lucky enough to take over the next building, our new Hobart was deemed too big for the area and had to move from their Moonah home to a new location in Derwent Park.

With the local market seeing change, the additional stock will ensure the team are best equipped to support local specialists with the aftermarket parts and brands they know and trust. The team has worked hard in the leading weeks to get the location ready for opening, with new stock, signage and storage.

Branch Manager, Tony Roberts, is excited to be able to expand his business further than just automotive electrical and thermal parts. “We’ve been working for weeks to get the building ready and product range increased. It’s exciting to be a part of such a big transition and being the first to launch the brand in Tasmania”.
